Helloooo, I’m Merve..!
That’s how you can pronounce my name…
“Mer” — like merry
“ve” — like very
:)))
I’m a UX Designer with an architectural design background a deep passion for the details and a minimalist approach in both my professional work and personal life. Originally educated as an architectural designer with a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, I’ve worked in the architectural industry in Turkiye and the USA. These experiences sharpened my critical thinking and design skills, paving the way for my transition into UX Design.
Through a strategic career pause, I ventured into my love for creativity as a freelance photographer, collaborating with influencers and hotels to create engaging content that harmonizes themes and scenes. This role sharpened my visual and conceptual skills and deepened my understanding of user engagement in the digital space.
Now based in San Francisco, I have formally pivoted to UX Design from self-taught skills to a 12-week Immersive UX Design Apprenticeship through the General Assembly. I am committed to leveraging my diverse background and aesthetic sensibility to create an intuitive and beautiful user experience.
Beyond that, you can catch me at the Rotary Club of San Francisco, where I’m a proud member of the DEI Committee. We’ve recently organized an awesome film festival with fellow members to understand each other’s differences. There is more — I’m the social chair too, which means I’m the go-to for organizing all our cool monthly events for club members and guests.
